During the past few months through South East Asia, there’s been a lack of kid physical activity (playgrounds) or sporting opportunities for Paige & Sadie. This part of the world doesn’t have many open public spaces.
We arrived in Singapore sports-poor, but left rich.
Billy
Billy led the charge, a sport obsessed 11 year old. Evidence of his obsession was obvious from the moment we arrived - balls, tennis rackets, shoes, gear - are everywhere!
Will immediately let girls know their apartment was an anything-goes-sports-zone. Using the apartment as a baseball diamond, a soccer pitch or a tennis court were all fair game. Balls off the walls? No problem! I was personally impressed by that parental attitude and perspective; it’s just walls and paint after all. Your kids are only kids once.
Decathlon with Coach Billy & Will
Billy and Will proceeded to spend free time throughout our stay playing ball with the girls, giving them pointers and they loved every minute of it! Here’s a list of the activities we played over the course of our stay. Some of these in the apartment itself, others in the apartment complex facilities, or across the street at the American Club.
Tennis
Soccer
Wiffle Ball
Catch
Football
Swimming
Table Tennis
Squash
Badminton
Basketball

Thanks to Billy and Will who prepared us well for sports obsessed Australia, where we’ll be in just over a week.
