We woke up and enjoyed our last couple hours at the magical Curringa farm. I tip toed out for an early run and was greeted by a group of sheep weeding around our little house.
Further along, I was greeted by a wallaby! Even managed to snap a great pic that became today's pic for my 'Running Around the World' album.
Sarah got out for a run, while I started up breakfast with the girls. They got in a silly 8 & 7 year old sister argument over who got to wear a new sweatshirt I picked up in Sydney.
Our final meal enjoying the delicious view...
After checking out, we set out for 2.5hr drive to our next destination in Northern Tasmania, Launceston.
The first two hours we went through all kinds of terrain, leaving behind the dry hills, heading up in elevation into the highlands and back down again. About 30 min before arrival, we went through a sleepy agricultural town of Cressy. We spotted the Rustic Bakehouse and made a quick U-turn.
It's a good thing we did.
We filled up on some delicious meat pies, savory goods and sandwiches. We got our first glimpse of the food heaven that Tasmania is billed as being.
This video is a fun quick summary of the day up to this point...

Launceston is the second largest city in Tasmania. Sarah said it reminded her of a medium sized British town. Our first stop was a used bookstore to pick up some reading materials for the girls. It was a success.
We wrapped up a beautiful Summer Aussie afternoon at a mega playground in town at Riverbend Park.
Lastly, we proved once again that good burritos don't exist anywhere in the world beside certain parts of the US and Mexico.
Of note - Sadie who started off the year shy at restaurants, now steps right up and orders her own food!
Tomorrow we wake up and drive another couple hours to the famous Bay of Fires area. Launceston was nice, but in retrospect, we wished we'd just carried on all the way today.
