NZ Family Robinson

Not long ago, we watched the old Swiss Family Robinson movie during family movie night - one of my favorites as a kid. We all loved it, an instant family favorite.

We never knew just a few months later we'd be building our own tree house.

It all started on a lazy Saturday morning when our neighbor Paulie said he'd be up for a project. He works in construction, so he came with all the skills, knowledge and tools at the ready.

Paige, Sadie, Lani and Mika were all in.

We won't actually be living in the tree house, so it isn't really a Swiss Family Robinson situation. But...we are stranded (self imposed) on an island way out in the Pacific, so perhaps we're not that different than the Robinsons.
