We’re excited to spend time with friends during our year of travel (if you’re one of them, see our itinerary ;)). We started strong, spending a week with the Zeiger family in Denver.
Go Cats!
Late 90s Northwestern - Doug met Sarah, got married.
Ryan (Doug’s roommate ‘97) met Megan, got married.
Two Wildcat couples going strong!
We arrived in Denver after our first flight of the trip, at the Zeiger doorstep, four nomads looking for a place to stay. Ryan, Megan, Anderson (10), Griffin (8) and Calvin (4.9) greeted us with open arms. A few things stuck out during our visit:
Kids Doing Their Thing
The five kids wasted no time getting into their groove. Boys, girls, voracious bagel eaters, ...didn’t matter.
Long & Excellent Meals
Thanks to Megan for cooking up delicious meal after delicious meal. I’d say our typical meal time was 3+ hours; eating and telling old stories about how great we all were in college (I did most of the talking on that topic).
Fun Excursions
We walked to a local pool, went to the Denver Children's Museum, strolled to dinner & ice cream…
We’re considering becoming part of the mile high club (pun intended) when we’re done with our year long adventure. Thanks to the Zeiger family for an amazing week!
