Markets are a big deal in Asia and they do them so much better than anywhere else. Why not head to the biggest one in all of Asia to start off?
Chatuchak Weekend Market was how we spent our first morning in Bangkok. The market clocks in at 11,000+ vendors and ~200,000 visitors on a busy weekend. It's full of everything you can imagine, from clothes, food, electronics, home goods, etc...
The Food
In short . . . Amazing.
MC Hammer Pants
They don't call them hammer pants here, but light and loose pants work well in this part of the world. Trifecta is in full affect: they keep the mosquitoes away in the evening, keep you cool in the humid weather, and cover your legs as required in the Thai temples. We were on the hunt with our upcoming stays on lakes and beaches in Southeast Asia. We were also on the hunt for some stylish sunhats, to last us through the hot SE Asia swing.
First Foot Massages
Let the massages begin for everyone! For just a few bucks, it feels great, gets you in the AC...the first of many in this part of the world.
It was a fun morning weaving through the stalls of the market and feeling the buzz that is unique to the markets in this part of the world.
