Golden Buddha

Hello to our first Buddha of the trip, and it was a BIG one!

Buddha Dordenma (aka the "Golden Buddha") is one of the biggest sitting Buddhas in the world, clocking in at 169 feet tall. It was completed in 2015, built to celebrate the 4th King of Bhutan. It's quite impressive & majestic, towering over the valley. It's surrounded by celestial beings offering blessings. Inside (no photos allowed), there are 100,000 small Buddha statues.
